I've not long moved into a new home (7 months now) and have a dripping bath/shower mixer tap. Im not scared of a bit of DIY but cant figure out how to even get into the tap! Any advise would be much appreciated.

You will probably find a little screw, maybe behind the little coloured buttons, the remove the screw and then the knob will them lift off giving you access to the workings.
Remember to turn off the water before going any further!! :-)
They're all different, that's the trouble. I reckon Ratman's right. Pull off the handles and you'll see the valve.
They look like they're quarter-turn levers. Unscrew the valve from the tap body and look for a washer (if it has one.......... it could be a kind of ceramic valve).
Anyway, you need to get in and have a look, Katy.
