I have already tried google, but can anyone tell me if the above still has it's enging in place, who owns the building and if it ever opens to the public - there is a Friends Of website listed but it is not accessible. Also can anyone tell me the next stations in the chain and where the water was being routed to?? TIA

First Google hit suggests it's still there http://www.stationary...k/stia/sandfields.htm
This (dated 2006) says the beam engine is to be retained and the building to be preserved before being handed over to a charitable trust.

. . . and this

says it has been preserved in-situ.

Thanks to both of you - your links really help - but still looking for information on the next pumping station in the chain - and whether it ever opens to the public (Heritage Weekend?)
