...hate, it's the Nazis.

During WW2 would that have been an acceptable sentiment ?

What prompted the question?

come on naomi, use your loaf, this is the baby beheaders' fan saying that hating Israel is not the same as hating the 4 by 2s.

I would like sandyRoe's explanation.

It wouldn't have been acceptable, certainly in the short term, caveats lead to 'terms and conditions apply' and there's no place for that in a fight for survival.

Just as we dont hate the Palestinian people,we just hate the Nazis(Hamas and Hezbollah)in their midst, eliminate these Nazis and we can get some peace to that region.

If you watch the latest incarnation of Spitting Image (available on youtube) at one point, Starmer explains to Trump why it is acceptable for Israel to wage war in Gaza, but unacceptable that Russia is waging war in Ukraine.

Hymie really.

12.19 - doesn't understand that in the Russia/Ukraine war Russia were the aggressors and in the Hamas/Israel war Hamas were the aggressors.

I won't get too bogged down in this debate because I've really no interest in the Hamas/Israel dispute. But a couple of things the PM may mention is that, as far as I can recall, Ukraine was not continually lobbing rockets into Russia prior to the latter's "special military operation" and nor did they enter Russia, kill 1,200 people (mainly civilians) and take 250 hosages.
