Can anyone recommend a peanut feeder(cage type) that is strong enough to withstand damage from larger birds such as magpies, crows and parakeets ?.
They are busting through the mesh to get at the nuts.

TIA...

This one looks bomb proof Chip. A tad expensive but will surely outlast us all. The sunflower seeds and mealworms are flying off the shelves up here. Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation

I always found this could withstand anything. Even the squirrels couldn't damage it. (Never had parakeets, I'm quite jealous!)

Unfortunately, all the sites I've looked at say out of stock, so I'm wondering if it's discontinued.
But I'm also wondering if this may be a viable alternative. It looks very sturdy.

Thanks all, the "chapel wood ultra" seems about the best design so far, so I'll make a note of it.
BTW, the parakeets are escapees, possibly from the film-set of The African Queen, or as some believe released by Jimi Hendrix to symbolize word peace. What ever the case, they have an aggressive nature towards other birds and also take over nesting sites from other hole nesting birds.
Lots of theories abound regarding their origin, they were seen as early as 1855.

sadly, never seen one here in Leicestershire
