It was the 76th anniversary of this young woman's death on 22 Feb 1943. A member of the White Rose anti-Nazi resistance group, she distributed leaflets and was executed by guillotine along with her brother and many others.

The thought of coming face to face with a guillotine absolutely terrifies me. Even seeing one in a museum makes me feel sick.

No question really, but thought I'd leave this here if anyone is interested in further reading about her.

Thank you
Have you read Hans Fallada’s “Alone in Berlin” about a couple based on the Hampels who did the same thing and faced the same fate (tho Frau Quangel in the end is killed by an allied bomb)

No Ickheria but that looks like an interesting read, cheers.
I read the book about her,
"Sophie Scholl and the White Rose",
by Annette Dumbach and Jud Newborn.
It was excellent.
