Thanks. Google isn't really an answer because most of the crests are made-up cr*p.

What I did find was that

1. the crest of Tesco is supported by two badgers.
2. the old crest for Sale Borough Council included a 'Badger proper gorged with a Wreath of Sallow Twigs'.
3. the old crest for BroxtoweBrough Council included a 'Brock passant proper'.

Why aren't there more badgers on heraldic crests?
Who'd want an animal that carries TB and is in danger of being culled at any time on their shield?
I suppose your enemy may be scared the'll get TB so keep their distance.

Oofya, Baldric!

I was looking for insight and wisdom from fellow ABers. 'Feck off and use Google' doesn't really answer the question.

Anyway, do have a good weekend, with or without badgers.
