We had the greatest pleasure to visit Whitby yesterday. We went to the Abbey, the harbour (for fish and chips obviously) a walk around the narrow streets and a ride on the open top bus, all in glorious sunshine.

We were actually in staying in Scarborough for the Status Quo concert at the Open Air Theatre. Enjoyed Scarborough, but Whitby was gorgeous.

Mrs Overall, you're a lucky lady living in such a lovely place.

She doesn't live in Whitby.
Does she just haunt it then?

Oh! I thought she did.
No she, at one time lived just outside Whitby, but moved a few years ago into North Yorkshire.

gness will give you the exact location.

Ahhhh. Thanks Sqad. It was lovely anyway;-)
horseshoes......yes it is a lovely part of North Yorkshire, but i am not too keen on Scarborough which seems to have deteriorated in the last decade.
Well, I thought she arrived with Dracula from the ship-wreck. Have we all been misled?
I always meet her in Whitby....in a pub....I think she has a house....but I always find her in a Whitby pub......☺
Who else meets her in the pub/pubs?
Nobody now, Corylus....not since the incident with the axe outside the ladies....☺
she probably daren't invite you home gness considering your penchant for diy
Fair enough, just wondered if there was a queue.
There is that, Ael...though MrsO has quite a selection of DIY tools.....there is talk of a joint business enterprise.....

No Good at DIY?...then employ .....Dames Who Do It For You.....
What do you think?....☺

No queue, Cory....mad dash the other way more like....☻
Don't tell me she turns up without the hairnet and marigolds.
.....Dames Who Do It For You.....
What do you think?....☺
sounds good to me but 'she who must be obeyed' isn't impressed
Whitby is a lovely, the only problem is that where ever you go you always seem to end up walking up a bloody great hill.
She did, Cory....what a let down...especially as I was dressed as a pint of the black stuff....:-(
Try using a car, taxi or a donkey nicked from the beach.
paddywak the good thing about leaving the abbey is it down the steps and not up :-)
Ael...employ us and you'll have more time to perfect your impressions....☺

Paddy.....MrsO hauls me up on a rope.....x
