A complete shot in the dark. Would anyone living in this area know of a house called "Brookside". My father was raised there and I'd like to find out if its still standing???

Sorry, I cant help ......but have you thought of contacting the local Family History Group, whose details should be held by the Clontarf library? Maybe the library itself would be able to help you if Brookside was a big enough house.

Is there any more to the address you have, other than just Brookside, Clontarf?

Thank you so much for responding. I'm afraid thats all the info I have but the library is a great idea. I think it was a detached house but not particularly big. The search continues !!!

You could try posting your question on the above site (its FREE!) and the people are very helpful. Someone might be living near Clontarf and be able to give you more information.

Good luck.

Thanks again !!!
Clontarf is a suburb of Dublin, but if you could narrow it down with even a street name you'd stand a much better chance. Unfortunately, it's a rather big city...
