For those of you who have been following and giving well wishes, I wanted to update you on my mother. We have finally gotten 2 home health aids to care for her as I will be going back to school next Wednesday. They both seem competent and caring. One is a nun from Tanzania, the other is from the hospice program and is originally fron the UK. I don't know how people do that job knowing there is no recovery for their patients, but I am grateful that there are people who are guided to this path.
Thank you all for your kind words. AB has often lightened my day. Thanks

I forget... Did you say your mother was having radiotherapy? If so, how's that going? Apologies if I've gotten confused.

Good to hear that you have help. Look after yourself.
Those cares are worth their weight in diamonds, I know I couldn't do Palliative care.
Hope her remaining days are peacefull and pain free
God Bless

Thanks to you all.
China doll- Mom is now having no more treatment and is having hospice or palliative care at home. They really are great. They deliver all her medications and any equiptment we may need. It has been a long 3 years and she fought well, but the cancer has just progressed too far for further treatments. Thank you again for all your thoughts.
Good.

Sometimes treatment for cancer in the later stages is not such a good thing.

I hope everything is as peaceful and comfortable for you both as can possibly be.
Ditto what CD said
and again God Bless
Xx

'Lost' a friend nearly two years ago, her Macmillan nurse was a real trooper. I think that it must be one of the hardest jobs ever, but she maintained that the rewards of her job were immense beyond measure. I hope you are as fortunate with your 'Dynamic Duo'.
My Son's London High School returned for new Semester today. Nothing quite like the begining of a new school year to make the adrenaline flow. Being an International School, means that the diversity of staff and students from far flung spots trying to reach a working melting point can have you in tears of frustration or hilarity depending on the situation.
love Sense.
