I have just bought a playstation 3 and was advised to do the system update (to version 2.52), I went on to the playstation website and downloaded the update onto a USB stick ( I do not have wireless internet) this worked fine but when i tried to download the update to my playstation it stopped loading at 64% and gave the code no. 8002F997, i tried reloading but it has done it everytime. Any one know how to solve this?

If you buy the Playstation Official magazine it comes with a free Blu Ray DVD (and some sample games)

This DVD also has the latest system update on it. When you put the DVD in your PS3 it should update the system code. This may get round your problem.

I noticed yesterday that the December issue has just come out.

You must buy the OFFICIAL magazine.

Thanks, I did the update on my computer at work and it worked fine.
