playing xbox 360 on a laptop

i have a Hullit Packard (however its spelt) laptop which has a HDMI socket. last night i tried to link up my 360 and laptop through the HDMI lead but nothing turned up on the screen, how do i get to play my 360 on my laptop? what do i have 2 press?

I'm pretty certain that what you are trying to do is impossible.

it is impossible!

the HDMI on the laptop is an output.. not an input.

it's so you can connect the laptop to a bigger screen, not so you can play other things through the laptop screen.
