My mate Gwilym is a bit of a liar. He reckons that Bandits show they are going to pay out the jackpot if the manufacturers icon on the front of the machine flashes or turns red.

Is he lying? I think its wierd that the manufacturers would put in this kind of feature, surely there would be a fight for the bandit whenever it started to flash...

Cheers people!

Gwilym is lying.

I would question keeping him as a friend.

He is a liar
I think what he probably means is that if you are playing the machine and you get on the features section sometimes the manufacturers logo will flash meaning that a jackpot is guaranteed on that particular go.
this is true, but it will only do it a couple of times a month and ONLY when its being played... you have to have money in it to play, therfore you cant just stand and watch it till it does it!

and it usually happens when youve put a lot more than the jackpot amount in.
It depends on the manufacturer and model. I can remember playing one a few years ago where if it flashed red when you were on the feature you couldn't lose (ie you could keep gambling up to the jackpot).

Of course, the motivation for incorporating these tells into the machine's interface is to encourage the punters to play them in order to find the indicators. The machine won't pay out any more money, however.
