Anyone know how 2 people on different computers can play mine craft together? If you do please explain it as if I know nothing (because I do)

Just asked the three youngest, if you play on a computer you can use Skype or similar to talk to someone else. Thing 2 plays on Xbox and uses his Xbox account to talk to others.

Not sure how it works but each child has Minecraft on their own device. To play together grandson signs in to his mum’s email and somehow uses her server to play with his sister. They are with their dad today so cannot show me how this works but if you still need info tomorrow will try to get it to you

I tried to create my own server too but couldn't. You need a good computer and know how to set up a server. I googled and came across https://ggservers.com. After I created the server, I immediately wrote on the forums that I have my own server. And about 20 people came to me, and we all played together, we even killed an enderdragon and found a lot of diamonds. In short, it was very cool, I advise everyone to have their own server, playing with friends is much more fun than alone
