We have just had our Akash curry box delivered and would like to ask how you heated up the food and how you decide what to eat with what. There is so much of it!

tilly, not sure she is about at the mo, as i know she's gone back to work....

Thank you, Emmie. She might look in later. I can wait.
no problem, i know she is suffering with pneumonia, but has gone back to work...
Question Author
Thanks again, Emmie.
Hi Tilly. I hope you like your curry box. We just warmed the rice and breads up in the microwave and warmed the curries through in saucepans. You can probably only have two dishes at a time otherwise it's too much food.

Been provecho!
That should say "Buen provecho" but as usual my auto text knows better.

I think we started out the first evening with a chicken madras and an aubergine dish.

We still actually have the fish dish in the freezer.
what are these Akash curry box (very interested) - do they deliver in Belfast.
Here's their website jj...I've bookmarked it as I want to get one in the future.

bloody hell thats expensive
70 quid, that's a lot of money,
I paid £36.50 for a curry for 2 the other day - £70 for four is comparable really.
It's for 10 different dishes if I'm not mistaken.
thank goodness i don't like curry, it doesn't agree with me at all.
most will eat at least two dishes i guess, maybe more......
still cant quite work out what you get - is it 10 ready meals PLUS naans and rice, or are naans and rice included in the 10 things they send you?
Question Author
You get three meat curries, chicken, beef and mutton.
One fish curry
One aubergine curry.
An aloo, a dhal, and a cauliflower dish.
Four naans, two breads and four servings of pulao rice.

We have enough for three meals for two (and we eat a lot!)

Thanks Lady CG. I used saucepans too. I was undecided whether to use saucepans or oven dishes. Saucepans were fine.

Fish curry with potatoes, dahl and naan tonight.
Saw this curry box when LCG initially posted; we had one delivered last week, the food is absolutely delicious and the portions are enormous.
Just the two of us here and we've already had three lovely meals with one still to go.
Thanks for the recommendation.
Been reading this thread, and the one before from LCG, and my taste buds run. I dare not order despite loving a curry. Since my dance with death with gall stones and then a bile duct fingy I have to be ver ver careful. Cardamom(only some forms) and roasted Pistachios give me hell. They never used to. I hope you have all enjoyed it though. Hope you are keeping well Tills(and Capito and LCG.[we are on the dock beginning of June] and every body else here as well). Got some more music for you to have a listen to Tills. This lad is good. Look for his acoustic versions of his toons. This is one for now.

Fine here thanks, Togo.

Lovely piece of music/song that. I'll have a look for some more of his stuff later. Thank you.
Tilly, have you received a £15 voucher as a thank you from Aktar At Home?

OH and I have received one each. I'm tempted to try the Tandoori box or the Biriyani box (goat biriyani).
