I favour the Greek method. Similar to Kleftiko. Stab the joint all over with a sharp pointed knife quite deeply. Slice fresh garlic cloves into slithers and insert them in knife slits with small sprigs of Rosemary.Sprinke with Olive oil and lots of salt on theskin, wrap in atight parcelof foil or greaseproof paper and slow roast in oven at about 180 for 3hrs or so. That is off the top of my head. Can dig out recipe if you are really interested.

Stab it several times and put garlic and rosemary in the holes. Then cook it on a low heat for about 5hrs.
Some stuff the slits with anchovies.

Is that a euphemism, sharon ;-)
Don't know any recipes but mrs av sez I'm to get up to Tesco tomorrow because lamb is on half price offer.

Sounds dead kinky to me. :-)
Tony I bought one today from Tesco and it is a whopper for £9. Good value and bargain.
Thanks Sharon. Think I'll try and get there early.
I heard that American girls don't do nude sun bathing in Florida and drink beer on the beach because they don't wan't to get sand in their Schlitz!! :-)
Where did that come from Retrocop???

I'm not surprised !.
'How coarse is that?'
My renegade Canadian sister.

Did you mean Coors?
The anchovies tip is a very good one, they melt and actually intensify the lamb flavour rather than disguising it.
Just for the record, I don't mean that kind of 'slit'!!!!!!

And it sure wouldn't want anchovies!!!!

Sorry I am a bit confused. The recipe I first posted or the Florida sunbathing and beer information?
