i've had another busy day in the garden. really managing to get the veg plot in order now. it was very neglected last year but is looking better. have got loads of onion sets in and shallots in and leeks are ready to go in tomorrow. have also put in rows of beetroot, parsnips, carrots, mooli, first planting of runner beans and french beans and two rows of spinach, have cleared round the bushes in the fruit cage. planted pea plants in fruit cage (stops the rabbits eating them). put carrots, radishes and beetroot and more spinach in the poly tunnel as we have just finished eating the last lot. got cauliflowers and broccoli ready to go in tomorrow.

really enjoyed my glasses of wine tonight. what have you been doing?

Disappointing cloud and cool wind again her in the East Mids - makes me very jealous to hear that others had a heatwave! Had to work in the garden though, loads of plants to get in before the weather turns wet on Tuesday :(
I have spent the day making and posting flyers for my missing cat, I also posted her details on a few different websites as well as going out looking for her and asking neighbours to check sheds etc.
All in all it has been a stressful and miserable day for me.
awww....I hope you find her daffy. How long has she been missing/

Very chilly wind. Made gardening impossible. Ground like concrete so watered the weeds in the hope of weeding tomorrow.
Fetched the newspaper
Smoked a trout caught yesterday
Did 2 crosswords
Played with the dog
Topped up the pond
Checked on the baby blackbirds - OK, and will fledge soon
Washed up dinner things.
Watched recording of Rugby, England v Argentina
She has been missing around 36 hours now, she is not the brightest of cats and we are worried sick about her. It was only a few weeks ago the daft mog got herself ran over :(
Her sister is freaking out without her and my son is gutted as she was more his cat than anyone elses.
Vey chilly now, 11 deg just popped outside to watch the space station go over (see Wendillas post in CB earlier for times)
Where do you live Daisy? Must be over in the East like me?
I know FGT's cat went missing recently and turned up about 2 days later. Don't give up hope.
Just realised that i'm already talking about her in the past tense :( I just have a feeling that we will not see her again.
I feel for you Daffy, although I'm not a cat person I was so upset when my dog died ............ part of the family x
Thanks headwreck, ummmm and Ann. I am off to try and sleep now, hopefully she will turn up in the night.
South coast Ann. About quarter of a mile from the sea as the crow flies.
Wind blows, sand seeps into the flat. Lousy double glazing! Beach mainly shingle but some sand at low tide.

Had a so-so day, no Sunday lunch cooked today. MrAsk in hospital with new knee, supposed to be coming home today but maybe tomorrow because his blood count is too low. He's miffed, I'm busy visiting, and glad of the rest. Did a bit of gardening and bought some lights to put around the tree.

Hope your cat comes home daffy, mine wandered off for a couple of days I was frantic but he just turned up, think he found a ladyfriend nearby.
Yes my day was good, I was very busy day at work. Thanks for asking.

Lady J, here's wishing your garden flourishes and give you lots and lots of produce. You have been a busy bee :)

Hope your cat come home soon, Daffy. Are there trees nearby? Did you remember to look up in them to see if perhaps poor puss might be stuck up in one?
Went to the supermarket so boy #2 could get a birthday present for his friend, went for a walk and to the playground. Hair clippers conked out when himself was cutting boy #1's hair so he can't go to school tomorrow until himself has done an early morning dash to get new hair clippers.
Sorry, meant to add, hope your cat is home soon Daffy.

I've been busy stripping my hair today in between watching the F1 and Glee :-) it's now a (surprisingly) nice shade of ginger!

Hope your moggy comes home soon Daffy x
