travel kettles,
plugging into the cigarette lighter thingy in the car,
would the water actually get to boiling point in one of these little uns do you know, like a normal sized electric kettle?

They do boil, but seem to take ages. Not sure if it's the ''watched pot'' syndrome, but I suspect the reason is simply that the element isn't as powerful as your domestic one.
BT used to supply them ... We had a 20 minute teabreak and it took 30 minutes to make a brew, lol

but as it happens i put one up of me streaking through tesco, caught up by the deli when i thought you were still around, but nope, youd gone for your dins, so i took it straight off and just stuck the moggy back up again ;o))
