OK.. Not sure if I need to be worried or not - except that my female colleague is nagging me to go to the doctors!!

I came off pill about a year ago - and had non-hormonal coil fitted.
Periods are much heavier, longer and MUCH MUCH more painful - but to be expected I suppose.

Periods have been a little bit erratic - once I was 2 weeks late. Then last month it didnt even stop... so have been bleeding - albeit only very lightly for a month.

I was going to leave it to see how next period is and whether that is normal before worrying.

Doctor did say I may lose a couple of pounds in weight - which didnt seem to happen until 3 months ago... I would have thought I would lose the weight straight after coming off pill... Havent been dieting and I do exercise regularly. Have lost 4-5 lbs now in last 2-3 months - without trying. Which yes is lovely... but now my colleagues is making me worry that the weight loss may be something wrong.

Has anyone experienced odd bleeding and/or delayed weight loss since coming off pill?

Should I waste my doctors time with this... and if so what will he want to do???

THANKS

I am a male, so cannot answer the "experience bit" but heavy and irregular periods are common with the coil.

I agree it is a good idea to wait for your next period.
