Broth and bouillon are basically the same. Broth is the liquid you get from cooking vegetables, fish, or meat etc in water.

 

Soup is the whole mixture that you get from cooking vegetables, fish, or meat etc in water. 

in my scottish family, broth is a thick soup containing chunky vegetables, meat chunks and barley.  soup is a thinner version of this or liquidised broth.  my mother said 'eat that broth, it will stick to your ribs' meaning it would put some weight on you. unfortunately i ate too much!

A soup or Potage is normally thickened with a roux whereas abroth uses Pulses(barley etc) or farinaceous products(pasta etc
