cooking fruit cake?

I have just made a fruit cake and although it has cooked well all the fruit has gone to the bottom of the cake. Does anyone know the reason why?

This normally happens when your mixture is a little too wet. The fruit needs more flour to hold it in the mixture.
You could also try tossing the fruit in a little flour before mixing it in ,coating the friut in a light coating of flour.Same principle as barb1314 says.Good luck
