i had a lovely honey and mustard sauce the other day. although i do love parsley sauce with gammon!

a light cheese sauce would be nice as well
Red currant jelly.
Gammon or roasted ham? Just chuck it in the bin and buy something nice to eat... ;0)

Try Delia's Roast Gammon with Blackened Crackling and a Citrus, Rum and Raisen sauce.
Honey and Mustard for me too. In fact I cook mine in Honey and mustard and mixed with the ham juices it is lovely. Redcurrant sounds good too.
Sounds good Barmaid.
Try making a gravy but adding apple juice to it instead of water
I know you're supposed to have parsley sauce with gammon, but personally I prefer to have an onion sauce so that's what I have. Alternatively, you could have cauliflower cheese as an accompaniment then the sauce from that makes a nice change.
Cumberland sauce goes well, nice with a robust pate too
try this recipe

Alternately, simply mix one cup of brown sugar (dark's the best in my opinion) with 1/2 cup of any good mustard and coat the roasting ham (forgive me, but being an American I'm not sure what "gammon" is).
Leave the ham uncovered for the last hour of roasting/baking. Makes a nice crust as well as adding the flavor.
Mrs. C likes to add about 1/2 cup of ketchup with the brown sugar/mustard mix, but every one's to kind to tell her she's a pagan... but, each to his/her own...
afraid I'm with China on this one - give it to the poor and homeless and get a burger, and I don't say 'burger' lightly...
i'm with jules, i like onion sauce with gammon too.
You cannot beat the old cheese and ham combo!Cheese sauce with garlic and tarragon yummy
They all sound fantastic! Here is another one. It is supposed to be for steaks or bacon chops, but you can make the entire sauce seperately as an accompliment rather than mixing it together half way through the cooking.
Gammon steaks in cider sauce.
1tpsp Mustard, the grain mustard works very well in this recipe.
Half a pint of cider.
1oz demerara sugar.
half oz butter or marg.
1 and half tpsp plain flour.
Put the steaks in an oven heat proof dish. Mix the mustard with a little of the cider and spread over the gammon steaks. Bake in the oven at approx 200c for about 15 mins. Put butter, flour and remaining cider in a saucepan and heat whisking contstantly until the sauce thickens and is smooth. Season to taste. Take out the steaks and mix in the sauce into the mustard mixture that has been cooking over the steaks . Bake for a further 15 mins or until the steaks are cooked through. The sauce should be enough for 4 steaks, although I like a lot of sauce so just make the same quantity for two of us!
Serve with potatoes and other veg of your choice.
Cheers Sue
This sounded a bit different Gammon with Whiskey Caramel Sauce......
