Filter Coffee Machine

Hi - am looking to get my hubby a new filter coffee machine. We had one which was a porsche design which made great coffee but the jug always spilled everywhere, then we had a Krupps which made awful coffee! Don't want to spend more than about £150 and don't need it to grind the beans or froth milk. Any recommendations greatly appreciated - thanks!

To tell you the truth, we've had loads of coffee machines over the years and now have a caffetierre (spelling ?) which is as good as any of the fancy electric ones.

I have to agree with hammerman. We abandoned our machine and got a french press cafetiere. We also got a tassimo for capuccino, hot chocolate etc. Much easier all round and lovely coffee and other drinks on tap.
