Garlic Mushrooms

I love creamy garlic mushrooms, but just cannot seem to get them right at home.  Idiots guide to CGM anyone?

Here gos.  I take the mushrooms and wipe them with a piece of kitchen paper (use chestnut mushrooms if possible).  Smash or crush two garlic cloves.  Heat a frying pan (large enough not to crowd the mushies) when hot add a large knob of butter and a good lug of olive oil.  Add the whole mushrooms to the foamy butter in the pan and cook until they take a nice brown colour and their juices begin the come out.  Add the garlic and reduce the heat, giving the pan a shake.  When the garlic is golden and the mushrooms smell nutty and garlicky, remove from the heat and add a couple of table spoons of creme fraiche or double cream to the pan.  Stir the cream in so it doesn't split, add black pepper and salt to taste.  Splendid.
couldnt have put it better sprogglin.
The easiest way is to get Lurpak garlic butter, fry the mushrooms in it, then add single cream ( as much or little as you like) its easy & scrummy!!!!!!!
