My daughter is vegan and I have a recipe for vegan marshmallows, it asks for corn syrup which I can't find anywhere. Does anyone know if it would be ok to use either maple or golden syrup instead. Thank you.

I had a look, and it would seem that most of the recipes are American-that is why corn syrup is used. I did see one where Agave syrup is used.....you can get it in healthfood shops....sometimes H&B stock it. The other option is golden syrup....maple would have too strong a flavour (but may be yummy nevertheless! )
I have also seen a vegan marshmallow making kit available on line.
Can any one let me have link for vegan marshmallows . It would be lovely to see grown up daughter playing Fluffy Bunnies again
Ps I am sure that liquid glucose is the same as corn syrup and has no def taste
Thank you . Have read the threads about the recipes and they mostly say don't bother to try and make your own. I will wait until I can buy some.
