I had to Google for Bill Shankly him Steve! My Dad & brothers would have known about him, but alas not me.

Hi mrs_overall - nice to see you too. I'm not too bad thank you for asking. (Apart from small cararact in my left eye - it's me age, ha, ha)! I know it sounds corny, but I used to enjoy listening to Russ Conway tickling the ivories - he seemed such a happy soul! ;o}
I didn't realise Elvis would have been that old. It's left me feeling All Shook Up :)

Ah, nice to reminisce! Thinking of all the nice people who died young & how much they've missed in life - well some of them!

James Dean would have been 77 now! He's been dead for 53 years! He died aged 24, so people will always think of him as a handsome young man.....

Morning Steve - although Bill Shankly was a famous footballer, I was only a little girl back then, so don't remember him.

As for Russ Conway, although I wasn't a fan of his, I remember hearing him play the piano on the radio (or wireless in those days).
