i always have a lamb rogan josh. I love tomatoes, onions and peppers, but i want to try something new. It's not cheap though, and i'm worried i won't like it. Do you think i would like a bhuna or a dupiaza? They're not really described well on the menu! x
Dupiaza has loads of lovely onions and is not too spicy but very moist. Bhuna is usually quite dry and often a bit spicy.
My favourite is Mushroom Dupiaza .... with a Channa Dansak (chickpeas), Pilau rice and Tarka Dal (lentils with garlic)... drat, I'm having a pizza and now I want a curry lol....
crisgal, they are both nice!!! Try it. you wont know until you try! if you think about it, how did u find out you liked Rogan Josh?? :)
my parents had a Chinese take away for ten yrs at one place and we have this customer of 10yrs and had never changed! he used to come 4 times a week same food!! lol he tried others but although he liked it, he just went back to his 'usual' order!! he just comes in and say 'Usual' please lol.
but i recomend to try something new :) good luck xx
you won't like this unadventurous answer!
It was the very first indian meal i ate - almost thirty years ago, in birmingham!
I have tried other things, but always go back to my rogan!
OK... if you like mushrooms, you might also like to try a Mushroom Bhajee (it's a side dish of button or sliced mushrooms in a fairly mild curry sauce).. I like Cauliflower Bhajee as well hehe.... Another good one to try is a Vegetable or Mushroom Biryani - here you get rice and veg (or just mushrooms) as well as a medium curry sauce) - it's great value for money btw..
We are creatures of habit, and are frightened of trying somethng new especially if we love the things that we know and relish,i love rogan josh but its recipe isnt univeral so if u try another takeaway you might be dissapointed, dopiaza is fantastic, and i love bhoona but if you love a certain meal and love a certain takeaway stay with it!!!
