Hi there,

It's my boyfriend's birthday on Saturday and I'm thinking of planning a night out in Manchester for us and two of our friends,we all live in London but fancy a change of scenery.
As we've not been out in Manchester before is there anyone who could advise me on the best places to go (clubs/bars). Our ages range from 25 to 35 and tastes in music are house, RnB, hip hop, commercial etc.

Any advice would be gratefully received!

Sorry can't advise on places to go, but if you are intending to travel by train and haven't investigated it yet - then don't. Weekend services to/from Manchester are disrupted in one way or another every weekend until at least the end of the year
Try Deansgate Locks or the Gay Village
It's an awfully long way to Manchester. It's almost in Scotland.

Come to Brighton instead.

You need green Rossetta to help you out with this Sammy- not sure if she's around at the moment.
On the contrary Jayne- Manchester's only a hop, skip + jump from Todmorden, as discussed yesterday! :-) xxx

DeansGate - there's a comedy club with bars next door and a blub across the road. its true there is train disruptions but it won't be a problem if you avoid travelling in peak times.
Hi :) Hope I'm in time.

I'd go for Deansgate as there's the Living Rooms and Label and restaurants along there as well.

The Printworks aren't far away with Norwegian Blue, and lots more food places.

Bluu bar in the Northen Quarter and there are loads of great little bars round there.

As for later on, you could try North in the Northern Quarter or Sankeys (don't walk though, get a taxi and book one back).
