Hi Mary. I always use a tin opener- had too many nasty cuts in the past xx
I love corned beef but always struggle with the tin - I think the key is best tho. Fray Bentos IS the best in my opinion and I could just eat some CB hash now! Yum x
The tin is a bit annoying but I manage it in the end. Princes do a lower fat version which I have bought in the past. I normally make it into a hash with cubed potatoes, onions and egg. Yum!
The best corned beef is M&S, it is the only one I have ever seen at under 8% fat. Not tinned, in a chilled package, about 175g from memory.

Serve with mash, baked beans, and of course chilli sauce !
having got the scars from a corned beef tin on my knuckle I was delighted to purchase an electric tin opener. Funny enough I am the family technophobe, but the only one who can operate it, easy peasy
Eugh, I hate corned beef. Bleugh

Use tin opener on both ends of the can and push the beef through from the narrow end, be careful with the sharp edges though - use a wooden spoon as a pusher.

Fray Bentos is fine -do trim off as much fat as you can before slicing the beef.
don't eat corned beef. tinned corned beef is loaded with fat and salt, not healthy.
Cold, sliced with chips and brown HP sauce! Why do they use those tins - they must have had so many complaints over the years?
