I've got a recipe that says a stick of butter and a cup of sauce.
How much is a stick of butter?
How much is a cup of something?

stick is 4 oz

a cup is 8tablespoons (liquid), in terms of grams 1cup is 125g which is 4ounces. 1 ounce is roughly 1 rounded (heaped tablespoon).

Those are American measurements.

A cup is 225ml
A stick of butter is 113g or 4g

Oops, that last one is 113g or 4oz
