I depends on the type of meat and the type of freezer. Either refer to the instruction book that came with your freezer or look at the symbols (usually inside the freezer door).
Lamb and beef might last the longest, as they can be 18 months old before they even hit the shops (according to a friend of a friend who freezes meat straight from the abattoir in his industrial freezers).
I've kept meat in the freezer for more than a year and it was very good when I took it out and cooked it.

The meat must be properly wrapped when storing in freezer.
