Winner for the starter, a pasty. Would this be something you would order as the first course with two others to follow. I couldn`t face it personally.

I missed the last part of the programme today, so wondered which had won!

Out of the three it's the one I would like the most as I don't like fish/seafood, but I think overall it's not a great starter and I wouldn't order it I doubt. I find pastry too filling. Something like the trout mousse (even though it sounds disgusting) would be more suitable I'd say.
According to JBR the pasty only weighed 4 ounces, so I reckon I could manage at least 2 !!

think the best traditonal one won it ,cant beat grandmas cooking
I think it looks delicious but I agree that I probably wouldn't order it as a starter, although my hubby definitely would. Infact he'd probaby have two.

I agree dopeybint, it has been an excellent series.
