Yes make them yourself lol
Well this is better than paying M&S prices of nearly 4 for a sarnie.
yer rev probably about 50p a sandwich
even cheaper 4get lol
I make min myself, but yesterday had a cheese and onion sandwich from M&S for 1 - not nearly 4!!!

M&S sarnies are crap though, they make them from frozen. and personally i wouldn't trust a sandwich from Lidl's that cost 79p. There's something not quite right about it.
dont they do cheese and onion value ones for 74p
Pass 4get, maybe I had the posh ones then. Ooooh, get me with the posh butties....!
Do they taste nice?
The ones witht the fancy filling can cost up to 4.

And Natalie, I did not know they froze them!
m & s don't freeze their sandwiches. they may use some ingredients which have been frozen (prawns, some meat, etc) but then so do i sometimes. if you have ever eaten a sandwich which has previously been frozen, you would know the difference.
slightly worrying is the ad at the side of this thread for cheese sandwiches on ebay???? some people will sell anything!!!!
I know somebody who was manager of quality control of the sandwich bit, he told me the sandwiches are made when the ingredients are frozen (I'm assuming not salad) - bread included - then they defrost during transit to the stores. He vowed he'd never buy M&S sarnies.
And they do taste like frozen sandwiches, the bread dries out.
lets face it, if we knew half the things that gone on in the factories and shops where food is made and/or prepared we wouldnt eat half of it

I had the cheese n onion sarnie with mayo and it was deep filled and lovely tasting so thumbs up for Lidl sandwiches for taste pleasure and value. These sandwiches at the lower end of the sandwich hierarchy normally retail between 1-1.50 at most outlets.
....Asda cheese and spring onion with mayo on brown malted bread 74p.....
lidl do a soft cheese sandwich with peppers, it is excellent, great value too.
tesco do value sandwiches at 74p, but they've always sold out after the school kids have been in.
Question Author
