Should it or can it be cooked any differently to ordinary green or savoy cabbage?

It's probably gone off by now but the answer is NO :)
spring cabbage thin sliced and deep fried it what they call seaweed in chinese restaurants so you could try that
Shred and use in spring rools, or in 'Mexican Rice' dishes,or making stuffed cabbage rolls, or use in Chinese soups with won ton, or braise and use in Thai dish like a crab dish, or add raw as chiffonade to salads, or fine dice into home made burgers, or mix raw into a coleslaw.

Or use for colcannon.......
