Chocolate Carrot cake recipe

My local sarnie shop sell the most fab chocolate carrot cake - the cake itself is really moist (which I assume is the carrots) and really dark brown like the cocoa content is high. Its then topped with a really shiny brown chocolate frosting (which doesn't taste like its made with cream cheese like a normal carrot cake - neither does it just taste like butter cream)

I asked them for the recipe and (fair enough) they said no. I've googled and have found plenty of recipes but none that appear similar enough.

Has anyone on here got one?

Frost with cream cheese frosting or a glaze, or serve with whipped topping or ice cream.
This is a good topping for chocolate cake, think it will work with your carrot cake. Melt 9oz good quality dark chocolate (I use bournville) over a pan of gently simmering water, stir in 3 tbs caster sugar and then whisk in 300ml soured cream. Lovely shiny topping with a slight tang not too sweet like butter cream. Good luck
