Can anyone tell me when Cyprus potatoes are in season and why, when they are they're not readily available in the UK

I know they are in season around Christmas time. I read on a website that they are harvested twice in Cyrpus. In spring and in winter. They keep most of the spring crop for seed and then export the winter harvest.

They are really lovely big waxy spuds. A bit expensive but worth it.

Thanks guy's. Ive found a little market stall that has them. They are THE best potatoes ever. Have you tried them chipped fried in olive oil... Just like being in Greece
