I'm in the 'idalovett' gang ... on toast for me
I find the most scrummy way is this:

As far away as possible.....tis the spawn of satan
On toast, or on toasted muffins. With a lot of butter, some of which is melted in, some some still cold and hard from the fridge.

I spent a month in the Himalayas before christmas and made hot marmite drink which I believe kept me alive.

Can I throw new Squeezy marmite into the debate?
I have not tried it but I'm tempted, how about anyone else?
On toast or crackers for me with a bit of butter or spread.
overarm
My other half made me marmite on buttered toast then blasted it with one of those flame thrower thingies like they use to do creme brulee. It was amazing! The marmite had a kind of slightly roasted flavour and the butter was dripping off the toast............can feel some coming on right now.....!!
Blend both the marmite into the butter in a dish to make a paste, keep in the fridge and simply spread on toast as and when....always on hand and keeps for ages....great in kiddies sarnies too.

I always put some in my gravy, marmite is the yummiest.
I like making it into a drink with a splash of vinegar and some black pepper, but I used to do this at work and got a semi-formal verbal warning about the aroma. I think it tastes lovely as a drink, though...
