I read recently that its possible to cook a whole salmon in a dishwasher!! should it be too big for your oven
Has anyone tried this and what was the result?

It works perfectly ... no-one (normal) has a salmon sized fish kettle, do they?

Place the fish on two large sheets of aluminum foil. Squeeze on some lemon juice and place the pats of butter on the salmon fillets. Seal the fillets well in the foil, and place the foil packet in the top wire basket of your electric dishwasher. DO NOT ADD SOAP OR DETERGENT. Close the dishwasher door, set the dishwasher on the hottest wash cycle, complete with drying cycle, and let it run through a full cycle. When the cycle is complete the fish will be cooked just right.

You can do stuff like Broccoli too ...
i have done the salmon thing too and it is amazing!! and like naz (where have u been hiding??!!) said..you can do veg etc too.
is this a wind up?!
nope its quite common crisgal...like naz says not many people have a full sized fish kettle as its impractical. Dishwasher does the job!
..I don't think this would work in my dishwasher, he moans about cooking at the best of times....
My dishwasher doesn't have a heating element, dishes just dry from the hot water used to clean and rinse them. Would it work in mine? Sounds amazing, but I'd love to try it!
I overdone mine while toasting the bread with the iron
my x did this his dishwasher is stinking now , how does he get rid of the smell?
Indeed, not everybody has a salmon-sized fish kettle, but what about those who don't have a dishwasher?
