i would guess that the biggest selling items by a mile are beer and lager, i refer to their contents. s why is there no info abvailable like how many cals etc are in which? it must be easy to do because these facts are on google. who is scared of what? the truth is out there
What do you want them to do, print the info on the side of the pint glasses?
Seriously though, the info is out there, all the slimming clubs have the calorific or points value of all types of alcoholic drinks. I guess they don't print it on the can 'cos most people who drink don't care and those on a diet can get the info from other sources.
I believe there has (or is) reluctance amongst the big brewers of the 'popular' drinks to disclose the actual ingredients in detail because it would sound too much like a chemistry set.
If you buy bottled real ale, you will usually find the ingedients on it, as they are proud of the wholesomeness of their product.
so, there's less calories in stella than orange juice then.
So.. as part of a calorie controlled diet i should be down the pub rather than at home drinking juice ;-)
thanx for the replies.
to conclude i still maintain that info should be given.
these should simply be alcohol, cals and carbs.
to have this printed on the can/bottle would be simple and in a pub on the pump likewise.
in this day and age many of my mates have disscused this in view of all the media exposure.
on that note ill sup up.
