I know drinking green tea has lots of good anti-oxidants in, but when I have tried it, I really can't stand the taste.

You are not supposed to put milk in the one I had, so I drank it black, and it was very bitter. I put some sugar in, and still the taste was not appertising.

Does anyone know of a green tea that actually tastes nice?

Try a green tea with jasmine or if you have a look in Wittards in any high street, they sell some good flavours in green tea.
brew it very gently - it stews quickly!
Whatever it says on the packet, don't use boiling water. Green Tea needs off-the-boil water.

and Sainsbury's own make Green Tea with lemon is a very mild taste and only lightly flavoured, much more pleasant if you are having problems getting used to it. Just be careful because a lot of the flavoured versions have other additives and sweeteners, which kind of defeats the purpose.
just don't brew it so strong - show the cup the tea bag and fish it out quick
Try it with a drop of honey in it. I actually like it with just water but my friends find it bitter and add honey.

Or try the Twinings Green Tea with Orange and Lotus Flower
I don't care how you brew it...
It is the most VILE tasting substance that has ever passed my lips...
I have tried them all - all the ones with fruit added etc..
They smell lovely, but the taste is always the same..
Very Very Wrong...

I'd stick to fruity herbal ones if I were you..

Clipper teas produce a good organic green. Always use the leaves and not a bag, boil the water and let it stand for a minute or two and then use it. You can either put the leaves in a small infuser, or use a coffee percolator. As other replies have stated, it`s best not to make it too strong. The only way that I can drink it is by adding honey, about a teaspoon per mug. I`d also say not to try to drink it too hot, think of it more as a drink that you can sip over the course of half an hour or so...it`s fine as it cools.

It is an aquired taste and don`t be tempted by the ones that have other bits and bobs added, it does defeat the purpose!
I think it varies from brand to brand, I bought a box from M&S a while ago and it tastes and smells like mackeral. It's absolutely vile. However, I do like the various brands green tea that I have tried before.
I have started drinking Clipper - Dandelion Tea and it is truly vile but I have found it ok if I put a slice of fresh lemon in it.So could work for the Green Tea- give it a whirl!
A little spot of honey makes all the difference.
NO - forget Green Tea - have WHITE tea. Its better for you than green and much less bitter.

Go to Waitrose and buy their Organic White Swirling Tea.

Its the best I promise!!

I also bought a box of these and only ever used about 2 teabags. If you really cannot adjust to the taste (like me) just forget it and try something else. I've heard pomegranate juice has a great amount of anti-oxidants (and is drinkable too).
Have not read all answers, but the Japanese throw away the first brew and drink only the second one.
That way all the bitter stuff has been flushed out.
