where can i purchase 100% proof, southern comfort ?

It's 100 proof - not 100% proof. You can't have 100% of an alcoholic drink.
it's 100� Proof - which is the same as 50% ABV.

100% would be ethanol or similar - quite tasty, but not so good for your insides
100 degree proof would be 57% alcohol. I don't know where you can buy this.

Typical whisky in the UK is 40% ABV but used to be labelled as 70 degree proof.
ok. sorry, didn't realise there were 2 definitions.
I went by US definition, Gef has British definition.
Quite why they're different I don't know, but then lots of measures have the same name, but different quantities between Imperial and American.

I would still say 100� proof Southern Comfort would be 50%ABV because it's an American spirit. Bacardi 155 is viscious stuff - 155� proof, 75.5% ABV, that's from over America way, though why the Cubans use the American system I don't know.
