What arent you happy about first. Your actually weight or the way you look?
I know how you feel. How much do you need to lose honestly?

both 4getmenot! i mean i dont need to drastically lose weight i mean im not overweight in peoples eyes but in my own i am! i hate my hips and thighs the most along with my stomach that could do with toning up! i just dont no how to start. im on pahse 2 starch blockers but they arnt helping!
You see I wasnt happy with what I was seeing on the scales but really dont look fat at all just need a bit of toning. And then sophie anderton weighed herself on Love Island and I was amazed that such a stick thin girl was heavier than me at 10.6. made me feel great. You know Im the same as you and have no motivation so do something you enjoy that will help you lose weight. Put some fun into it, skip, trampoline, do step exercises while watching the soaps or dance you @rse off round you living room. :-)
I lost four stone through tonnes of exercise and good eating. Im tall and used to weigh about 13 stone, im now 9. It was hard at first but they say it takes about 21 days to get used to a new lifestyle. I cant tell you how good it feels! I feel happy have tonnes of energy. Now ive done it ill never let myself go back to how I was. This may sound crazy but read a book called "Jemima J" by Jane Green. Its a fiction book about a girl who is miserable and needs to lose weight, to be honest it gave me more determination than the stupid diet books around these days, all the best! xx
hi Sam i have the same problem with willpower, but i was talking to my neighbour last night and we've both decided to start going swimming after work together, as we can motivate each other into going, can you get a friend to join a an excercise class with you? good luck x

the thing is with asking friends to join in with me i dont wanna seem like im telling them i need to lose weight ! and my closest friends who would could with me live soo far away so it would be no point just for one night! i would like to go on my own but thats where no confidence comes in ! i need a good kick up the arse!
Question Author
sorry let me refraze that i dont want to seem like im telling my friends they need to lose weight*
You really dont need confidence to go swimming on your own. Most places have adult swimming sessions where people can exercise on their own without the nuisance of children. and most people go by themselves.
Hey, a couple of months ago i got the motivation to start excercising well really it was just going for a walk every night and just eating more healthier foods and i lost a stone and a half. then after a while i went through a sicknesses but not through dieting after i just couldnt get motivated and then i went away for 2 weeks to america so i decided to see how much i had put on last nite and was horrified to see an extra 10 pounds on the scale, i was so depressed to think it took me ages to burn all that off but just look how quickly it goes back on!
No help and advice taken over the last couple of months then?

Who says you are fat? You? Most women look in the mirror and overestimate their size by at least 10%.

god octavius i wish u were nice ! ;oP
I am! Just honest as well.

Maybe you are just meant to be the size you are and if you are happy with that then just be happy. If you are not happy with that, then that should be motive enough.

My weight yo-yo's on a weekly basis and my motivation for trying to keep at the level my body clearly believes it is meant to be is when I see photographs of myself - which as we allknow adds 10%, but the camera never lies...
Get active stylinsam. Loads of good advice on here. Confidence will come, go to gym and get an induction, the training people are uually really nice and encouraging. Go maybe 4 times a week, but if you really cant face it do SOMETHING-go for a brisk walk/swim instead. Walking is really really good for losing weight. If you've got something planned in the evening get out of work at lunchtime and go for walk instead. If you keep active you really will see a difference. Will power is a difficult one-making it not too difficult for yourself is the key!!
Who cares if sophie anderton is stick thin. I might be no stick insect but at least I've got my mind!! (I think lol). Is it just me who thinks she should be locked up for her own good?
Quite right. Womeon who have a decent amount of meat missing (Sophie, Nikki from BB etc) usually have something else missing as well.
stylinsam get an airwalker they are great, walk for as long as you like and watch BB :-)
