in the new smarties ad where the boy and his mum say there are no artificial colours in the pink smarties, the yellow smarties... they dont mention the blue ones. then the mum picks up the kid and shakes him and says 'so there are no artificial colours in him' or something like that. does that mean the blues ones do have additives and they just dont mention it and hope no one notices or do they not make the blue ones any more?

Hi Ketchupkid. The blue ones are full of additives. They've stopped doing them. I think that is why they have a new ad campaign. So many kids were going loop the loop!!!!
It got mentioned in the papers and on the news, quite amazing for just a tube of sweets!
Well, actually the blue colouring was 'full of additives' - not the smartie itself.

I think it was some e-number that became implicated in hyer-activity, or cancer or something.

As curryfarty says, the blue ones were discontinued, quite a while ago now, I think.
you don't want to know what they use in the red ones...
i loved the blue smarties, they made me really hyper!!!
kids won't like them now because everythings natural, they shouldn't of got rid of the blue ones because they are addictive which makes kids want them more. bad move
Hello. The blue smarties colouring is full of additives. That's why they don't have the blue ones anymore, they've been replaced by the white coating that they used a few years ago.
