My old Mom was a school cook and she could make chocolate concrete any way you wanted. You could have it thick and crumbly or thinner and harder. Whenever I visited she would have a couple trays waiting for me. Sadly she took her secret skill to the grave and is probably is now making it for the Angels.

This question was posted last year and a recipe was given.

Chocolate Concrete.

10 1/2 ozs S R Flour, 8 3/4 ozs hard margarine,8 3/4ozs white sugar.1oz cocoa 1 egg.

Melt margarine and add dry ingredients, add the beaten egg.Press into a greased shallow tin.Brush with water and sprinke with sugar.Bake 140c for 20mins.

I made half that amount to try it and found that it took longer than 20 mins but it was nice although very sickly.I only have oven temp for my cooker left the others off as I did not need them.Did n ot get a recipe for the peppermint custard. Fun to make for a trip down memory lane.
