yes i like the real hot cross buns not all the ones with added things like cream egg etc x

I do have one or two but they're not really my favourite. I wouldn't miss them at all.

The ones available here are a bit doughy.  Plenty of butter on them with a nice cuppa makes them moreish though.

I love them - have them all year round , not chocolate ones but maybe Bramley apple or blueberry ones for a change.

I had some from Aldi - lots of fruit in them.

Did ignore the carbs over Good Friday & Saturday, and had 2 for breakfast each day. Prefer traditional ones with a generous amount of fruit to the new fangled varieties.  Not Tesco ones though. We think it was Lidl's first, then Sainburys. They may be cheaper now but 4 in 2 days is quite enough.

Husband likes them. I might get him some as a treat, if he's nice to me today. 😐

I like hot cross buns, toasted teacakes and fruit loaves.

I could eat a lot, smothered in butter but those days are long gone for me.

I had half a hot cross bun on Good Friday with a cup of coffee.  I gave up tea and coffee for Lent.

I have some Rhubarb & Custard Hot X Buns in my freezer at the moment which will be toasted.  Used up (ate) all my Apple & Cinnamon ones which I also toast and my Salted Caramel & Chocolate ones which were too gooey to toast!  Don't very often buy the fruity ones.

Have you seen M&S chocolate buns that look like mini cream eggs with gooey stuff in the middle??

Yuk!

Yes Naomi we have had exactly those, pack of 6, one each every morning over this weekend. Just plain toasted with butter for us.

I've never tried different flavours.  Just the traditional - and they must be spread with real butter - none of the plastic substitutes will do - but I feel like that about real butter anyway.  I would never buy anything less.

Have to admit that reading Jellybean's selection actually make me heave, especially rhubarb and custard 🤣

I luv a hot cross bun. Anything that says rhubarb and custard or creamy egg or even chocolate flavour is NOT a hot cross bun.

Bought 2 packs of 4 from Iceland shop last week and I'd better have 2 left!

I luv hot cross buns :)))

I love a toasted hot x bun, especially Sainsbury's marmalade ones..or any extra special range, the Co-op ones are lovely. Wouldn't waste my money on ordinary ones, or any fancy pants ones especially if they have chocolate on them.
