I guess however you like them. Perhaps some people don't like the bean juice touching the other food, and that's why the restaurant keeps it separate.

I'd spoon some on to the plate but unlikely to happen with me as don't like them with a cooked breakfast but do like them on toast.

I'd pour them on plate. I don't mind a few beans with a cooked breakfast but I prefer tomatoes. I think it's a silly idea, by the way!

Surely if you didn't want beans you would make that clear when you order.

It seems a lot of people don't like the sauce touching other food so it gives people a choice how to eat them.

I do sometimes wonder if untouched beans in a ramekin get reheated for the next customer
