Minted Lamb Kebabs - Side Dishes?

On a whim I decided to make some minted lamb kebabs. Normally we would have these with salad and a minty yoghurt dressing. But I do not have much salad stuff and I am not going out because I am about to light the fire.

I was thinking a couscous with some toms and cuc and onion and probably a bit of feta and pine nuts as a side dish, but Mr BM doesnt like couscous. He's not a big fan of rice either so broad bean and dill rice is out.

Any ideas what I can serve as a side? I'm all out of inspiration. I realise now I should have just made cottage pie.

Broad beans, red onions or spring onions, fresh mint and feta
How do you manage to live with someone who doesn't like couscous or rice????
Lightly steam some french green beans, Meanwhile add handful of pine nuts to a dry saute pan and dry fry until golden. Toss beans into pan with olive oil/ juice & rind of one lemon, chopped chives or spring onion and seasoning to taste.
You could still make it into a pie but with sliced potatoes on top more like a hot pot.
Would they work with pasta salad?

Ha, just realised I have no broad beans, RH. Do you think that might all be a bit too minty anyway?

Diddly, I have no idea. Save for the fact that he normally eats out once or twice a week so I can indulge in rice, pasta and cous cous on those nights.
Do you have butternut squash? That makes a lovely salad with broad beans
Ok no beans either lol
Do a potato salad and I love mint so can never have to much

That might be an answer, APG. And sounds delicious, thank you.

Margo, I've already made the kebabs. Although I suppose I could just mash his into a dish and do just that.

Cashier - same problem - rice, pasta or couscous doesnt float his boat. (Unless the pasta is home made and I really cannot be bothered with that today).
More kebabs :-)

Actually, with APG's bean salad and a RH's spud salad, you may both have hit on a solution! Thank you!
