16 cup, sorry!
Amazon have some, all different sizes
This is a little over your price request given the size I suppose, would be heavy to lift when filled too.

You might want to consider using 8 cup twice
I've been struggling to find many 2 litre models and those that are available all seem to cost more than forty quid. However 2 litres of very hot water is a lot to handle anyway. It would make far more sense to me to buy two 1 litre models, which you could easily do within your budget:

makes sense to use two 8 cups and have one at each end of the table.
PS: Why have I never heard a cafetière described as a French press before? 'French press' to me means Le Figaro and Le Monde ;-)
I wondered that too. I actuallty had to google the term.
I thought she was looking for shelving or a wee press for the cups as in a cupboard.
Buen’, I believe the term French Press is used more in the States

i thought french press and cafiterre were interchangeable and as i wasnt sure how to spell the latter i used the former.
Look at the BODUM web site.
They're €7 in Ikea Spain.
