I did have. Waste of time. The egg boiler, you have to pierce the egg. A saucepan would be just as quick. For poached eggs you could get a poaching pod. That also just goes into a saucepan. The pods can also be used in the oven to do baked eggs.

Thanks. I can boil, fry and scramble eggs no problem but poaching them is my downfall.

Thanks. I had heard of them but not sure as to how effective they are. I have seen different brands on Amazon, but they all seem much of muchness. For the price it's worth a gamble.

If you poach in a saucepan use a bit of vinegar.

I make great poached eggs in a saucepan of salted water. The eggs must be very fresh. If the eggs are not in the water they are not poached.

Poachers use steam which is water.

I use those tin foil cases from individual cakes and tarts (usually Mr Kipling Bakewell's) to bake eggs in the oven. Each tin foil case is perfect for one egg

The ‘plastic’ poachers are actually made of silicone and totally oven safe.
