We had a Sainsburys Chinese takeaway box. It was bland and tasteless, such a shame, not a patch on their Thai takeaway box.

Just told a friend I had bangers, mash and peas and that too was tasteless. Must try harder!

Cooking as I type, Minced Lamb added onion bit of garlic... and potato's are simmering to make some mash, we keep it simple us Yorkshire folk.

We are having vegetable curry tonight with rice and poppadoms and a selection of pickles. We have had a lot more vegetarian dishes lately and we've thorough enjoyed them.

Next week our gourmet curry box from Aktar at Home is being delivered. Michelin starred dining in the comfort of our half-renovated home! :-)

We have Malbec and Languedoc to accompany.

How many servings in that curry box? I've been put off using him as he imports the beef

According to reviews it would serve 2 people for around 5 nights. If he is importing the beef, it's probably a prized breed.

Mamya, I'll see how we go with the curry box first and then I may try the meat box, although we are cutting down on our meat intake for the moment.

I've booked the actual restaurant for my husband's birthday and selected the 10-course tasting menu in advance. Fingers crossed we get to go.
