Scottish politics must be at an al time low. It’s just personal grudges being formed into policies and parties. What a shambles.

why did you change it....

anyway i can't see him garnering too many votes at this late stage of the election.
sounds like a desperado let loose in the fish pond corral called Scotland. They've got problems with their farmed salmon up there,, mind you. This will add more.
Splitting the independence vote doesn't make any sense if what you want is independence.
Question Author
no one in Scotland wants Independence.
1,617,989 would disagree.
Question Author
they want different dependence, They want to be subjugated by the EUSSR.
The want independence from England,. That's what Tora despises more than anything, as it plays into his "anti-English" mindset.

If they want to go, let them go. It'll weaken them hugely.
As a card-carrying party member, in my opinion this is pure lunacy. I just cannot imagine what Salmond is hoping to achieve with this. If he suddenly thinks that every SNP voter is suddenly going to vote for him, then he really needs to see a specialist.

All that this can possibly achieve is split the vote, so how he can reconcile that with his so-called wish for independence, I simply cannot fathom.
i am shocked TTT]
I am sure there was nothing ubclear with your first - - essay
I think the idea of Scottish Independence is now a very distant second in Mr Salmond's aims and objectives.
I can only agree. He's now become a liability.
His actions are driven by malice and spite
Can't argue with that either.
You may as well go back to being English, Jim.
isnt scortland about the size of Manchester and Liverpool?
and Manchester and Liverpool are far better run

OK I take the liverpool bit back

and andie burnham does things like run the city rather than posture

I wonder if Salmond is trying to mop-up the votes of those who don't like Sturgeon and will refuse to vote for her even though they want independence. He can support the independence bits of the SNP's policies but go his own way on the rest.
I hope Alba does gain some traction - should be very entertaining for us onlookers.

sad that anne has not joined this post as it was her suggestion. Nowt as strange as folk I guess!
Salmond only knows Scottish Nationalist politics.
But it is obvious after this years antics that he has no future in the SNP.

Splitting the nationalist vote makes no sense, but it will settle a few scores with his enemies. If some SNP MSPs get beat he will have a wry smile to himself.

Revenge is a dish best served cold - on election night.
